Honor History on Oahu by Visiting the Pearl Harbor Memorial

When traveling to new destinations, many visitors enjoy seeing the historic sites. At Little Hawaii Rent A Car, we recommend any tourist destination sponsored by the National Park Service. In Hawaii, plan to visit the World War II Valor in the Pacific commemorating the attack on Pearl Harbor. After arriving and securing your rental car, you’ll have full access to everything the Hawaiian Islands has to offer.

Experiencing History at Pearl Harbor

Start your trip by honoring Pearl Harbor. Located on the island of Oahu, this national monument adds education, experience, and history to your vacation. This solemn and powerful memorial monument honors the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Exhibits

Offering two exhibits, “Road to War” and “Attack”, you’ll see artifacts and testimonials documenting the historical timeline leading up to the attack as well as the aftermath.

Pearl Harbor Memorial Theater

Gain further knowledge by viewing a 23-minute documentary depicting the December 7th attack.

The USS Arizona Memorial Program

After watching the documentary, you’ll ride a Navy-operated shuttle boat to tour the USS Arizona Memorial. The USS Arizona is a sunken battleship marking the final resting place of 1,177 sailors and Marines just off the cost of Ford Island. This boat tour honors the memory of the USS Arizona crew, service members, and civilians killed during the attack.

The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center

In addition to the USS Arizona Memorial, plan to visit the Battleship Missouri Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, and The Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor offered by the Visitor Center.

Including the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument on your Hawaiian vacation itinerary is an opportunity to pay respect and to educate the next generation on our nation’s history. By securing a rental car from Little Hawaii Rent A Car, every Hawaiian adventure is at your fingertips. Contact us to reserve a rental car, and begin your historical tour at (808) 347-2886.
