Rent a Van to Visit Oahu Beaches

Kualoa Regional Park

Are you a fan of the movie Jurassic Park? Footage of this beautiful park was used extensively in the film. Kualoa Regional Park is located along the northeast side of the island, and rarely is crowded. Enjoy the view of Chinaman’s Hat Island, named for its resemblance of the hat worn by Chinese peasants. Want to explore beyond the beach? Kayaks are available for rent if you want to check out the island itself.

Kahana Bay Beach Park

Just up the road from Kualoa Regional Park, this secluded location is often overlooked by tourists traveling up the coastal road because of the pine trees along the beach’s edge. It’s directly across Ahupua’a O Kahana State Park, and boasts calm waters and plenty of shady spots if you need a break from the sun. The shallow depth and clear water make this a great beach for beginner swimmers.

Mokule’ia Beach Park

Go where the locals go! This park is located on the northwestern tip of the island in a more remote area. Although it has fewer amenities than some of the more popular beaches, it offers a long sandy beach with great windsurfing conditions and fishing spots. Keep your eyes open for sea turtles!

Which one (or more!) of the 128 beaches you decide to visit in Oahu, you’ll never go wrong with a rental car, jeep, SUV, or van from Little Hawaii Rent a Car. With three convenient pickup and drop-off locations, we help make your Hawaii vacation as stress-free and relaxing as possible.
